Hello!!
I have some fun pictures for you today! :)
heehee. This has been some hard work and it's very tiring, BUT, I
believe that if you don't have fun doing the things that you do you are
missing out. SO I hope that you enjoy them!
So how are you all doing? I have received lots of
emails and letters of love and I can't thank you all enough! I have
given up on trying to be punctual on writing you all back but know that I
have appreciated all of it and I love you
all. Thank you for the pictures too and the clothes mom and for
letters that just talk about your lives. I like knowing how you are all
doing. So again...Love you all.
This last
Sunday was the baptism of Javier, and wow, it was amazing. We had both
(my companion Sister Blasco and I) never had planned a baptism before
but we did the best we could and went forward with faith. I remembered
one baptism back home with the sister missionaries in my Ward and
the plug came out when they were filling the font with water, he came
30min late, and they had never practiced the musical number. I
remembered this event
and through it all the chaos I remember the sweet peaceful feeling
of Luis who was so excited and egar to make that promise to the Lord. So
as we filled the font and only had cold water, as we practiced the
musical number 5 minutes
before the baptism, and as I realized that I didn't have a pianist
to play and had to step up and play a hymn that I had never practiced, I
felt this peace as I watched Javier's face and even more when he stood
up to bear his testimony.
This event, also, did a lot more to the ward than I thought was
even imaginable. PEOPLE CAME! And they helped and gave him advice and
everyone was so happy! All of the members that we had visited the past
week really delieverd
and covered the little things that we had overlooked. Javier went
back to Columbia but before he did we were able to get him good
scriptures and a little baby tie...as a really lame joke but he thought
it was funny. So this weekend was such a
Spiritual blessing.
Also, Kristen!! I
finally got my hair back to the natural color! haha. Thank you for all
of your help with that before I left. I hope that you are all staying
well and loving life! When times get hard and sometimes I feel like I'm
not getting answers
I look outside of myself, see the beauty of this world admist the chaos, and like during the baptism I feel the peace.
Love you!
Hermana Clement
PS. Stay tuned for pictures!!
