Noche de Musica

Hey!

So we have been so blessed this last week, despite illness and plans that fall through! It turns out that most times when your plans fall through there is just a better plan that God will open up to you. So Roxana was able to be baptized this last week and what a special moment that was. I have never met ANYONE in my life that wanted to be baptized as much as her. She is just so humble and sincere and has felt a confirmation in her heart that this Gospel is true. It has been an amazing experience to become her friend. And I also truly believe that there are people in life that we are meant to meet. Her daughter, Maria-Jose has some various handicaps but is so smart, she just needs love and patience. As we have been teaching them, she has been opening up and showing us so much love when we come. I know that I was supposed to be here to help her feel special and loved. She even loves to sing and I got the UKE!!! (Thank you mom and dad) and I'm going to teach her how to play a few songs so she can sing at her own baptism.

We had a really awesome event at the Visitor Center this week called, Noche de Musica y Inspiracion (Night of Music and Inspiration) and I got to sing again but this time in Spanish. :) It was so fun and also, Hermana Schoemaker, who was my roommate in my last area, and I wrote a song together and performed it...so I'll hopefully be able to send a copy home to you guys. My comp and I had a few hard times this last week, but I'm so grateful I'm learning this all now before I get married. haha. Like for real. But we had a break through and were able to talk it out and now we are establishing boundaries (like we learned altogether in Helen's workshops). Life is good, I have been able to relate with so many people here because of what our family has gone through and I feel so happy when I can testify to them that it does get better and that Our Heavenly Father loves us no matter what we our those we love do. This I feel so strongly. I love you all!

So for Birthdays....Dad yours is coming up,. Claire.. So I'm just going to write you all birthday cards and just please pretend like I sent them to you on your actual date.
