Buenos Dias!
Happy week
after Presidents's Day a few days ago!...no we didn't do anything cool.
But it has been a good week. So my new companion is awesome, Hermana
Word from Las Vegas! She has these crazy energy rushes and it's hard to keep up with her, and
then when we sit down for a lesson, she passes out. haha. We've had
some great experiences and she has been just the missionary
that we needed to help Lourdes and her son Walter. (She's really chill
and down-to-earth). This week, a lot of our scheduled appointments fell
through and we didn't have much luck chasing down Latinos in the street with Francis (a member that
comes out with us often). But we did have a really good lesson with
Lourdes and Walter this week about the Book of Mormon and why it is so
important to read it in our day. And one thing that we try to use are those mormon messages on mormon.org that share stories of different members from all around the world. The only thing was that her 4-yr-old son Alex was consumed with mario kart on her phone so we started without
showing them. Well as the lesson was going I kept getting the feeling
that Walter really needed to watch this one video about a 20-yr-old that
had a hard time with his parent's divorce growing up (Kevin
Federson-video) and so we asked if we could get the phone, but Alex
started crying so we abondoned it...but in my heart I was praying that Alex would fall asleep. So as we are about to leave Walter walks
into the hall and comes back with the phone to our surprise. So we
pulled up the video. As we left, we turned around to say goodbye, and
there was Alex passed out on the floor in the hall as if he had been knocked
out.....so prayer works....:) he was fine, he was breathing. It is just
amazing how many miracles we could see in our lives if we would just
ask, having the right intention. I'm striving to keep a view of reality
but at the same time keeping an open heart to the miracles of Heaven. I
love you all!!! Keep up with all of the fun and crazy theatrical
stuff!!!
Love Hermana Clement
Ps.
Kristen, I got permission to send for the ukulele to have it out here,
and I was wondering if you aren't using it if mom can send it here? We
have a lot of opportunities to sing and it just so happens that the new
visitor center
director loves ukes. Let me know...:) THank you all! And thank you for your notes and cards, they always brighten the day!
