Hey Everyone!!
okay primero, Elder Mann, estoy bien...graicas.
jaja. Second, I just got transferred today to a new area and I'm Senior
companion to a missionary that's like 4 years older than me (Hermana
Engman). :) She's super chill and awesome! haha. Our mission is so small
and so it appears we have to "grow-up" so to speak pretty fast, because
I wasn't expecting to become senior companion for a while. But, it will
definitely be a growing experience, basically it will be the same I
just take the blame if things go wrong.
In other news I found out that Javier, the first convert that we
had, is still going to church in Colombia!! We were kinda worried
because we haven't had the best communication with him there...but we
talked to the friend of his dad who told us he is super busy with school
and work, but still keeping strong in the Gospel. I cannot express how
happy I was to hear that.
Also, this last week we met this homeless man on the street and
decided to give him a granola bar and a pass-along card to come visit
the Visitor Center. So, we gave it to him and he was super nice and
happy, then he gave us a mysterious piece of paper that had an address
with directions to pick up two packages for 234k. We were like, "no
that's okay you proba..." and he said, "no, no,no no, you gave me this,
now you go do that." "but sir, don't you need.." "NO,NO,NO,no, Ima gonna
go this and you go do that". We did not call the phone number, don't
worry. Well, this week has been good, I've learned a lot and I'm not
gonna lie it was hard to leave Hna. Word and Shaw, but I'm looking
forward to a new transfer, it will be good. Love you all! Keep strong
and remember who you are! OH, and check out the videos on mormon.org and mormon messages on lds.org they are really good. :)
con mucho amor,
Hna Clement
P.S. THANK YOU for the
packages and letters! (Marcus and Kim! I got your christmas one!! Love
you all. and Mann Family, thank you for forwarding Gyver's package! Love
you.)
PS. 2. CAM thank you for the music and jelly beans! so good.
'Lil Sister Rin Rin is off on her mission. Feel free to read, post, and comment as we all share this experience with her.

From DC!
March 13, 2013
Hola todos!
Hola todos!
Well, this week has been really
interesting. Being in a trio can be a bit tough because there are now
three different opinions and three different personalities...and I'm
usually in the middle. BUT, they are awesome and we always come out of
stressful situations laughing.
Transfers are coming up this next week so we'll see what will
happen. It's possible I could stay in this trio, or I could go to a
whole new area. Either way, I'm definitely getting better patience. :)
There are lots of birthdays coming up at home!!
Happy Birthday to you all! Jacob! MacGyver (Elder Mann)!! Heather! and I
think Cameron?? haha. Hope you all celebrate it right, wings and pizza
and the Bachelor. ha.
So we had a couple things happen this week. Lourdes
was really preparing and excited about being baptized and then the night
before she expressed concerns about her testimony. We decided to push
it back a little and to focus on helping her find for herself when the
time is right. I've learned a lot from teaching Lourdes, mostly that we
are all on individual paths and that we all have different timings with
the Lord. She's super awesome and she wants us to come over to hunt for
Easter Eggs with her grandkids. Bring it on!! ha. Also, I have seen huge
changes in my companion, Sister Word. She is a really hard worker, so
hard to the point that she often runs too fast when she can barely walk.
This transfer has forced her to slow down because she is training a new
missionary and there are three of us. She has calmed down to a point
where she still works hard but she is also enjoying the journey. Because
it is hard to be around someone that is stressed out all of the time.
The amazing thing is that we are only asked to do all that we can and
then the Lord will make up the rest. That's how we can see miracles
everyday.
So today we went to the city again. It was a blast
because the English missionaries came with us, and we went with two
Spanish members in two beat up cars. The English sisters were freaking
out about everything because they weren't used to crazy driving, close
quarters, and Spaniglish. We got to go to the Archives today and Sister
Word and I spent most of our time in the gift shop. It was a blast! We
also saw the President drive down the same street twice with his league
of police cars. Life is going good. We have been blessed with the energy
to do the work both in our area and at the Visitor Center, and I'm
loving these people. THank you for all of your love and for your
examples. I use our crazy stories as parables during teaching, IT'S
GREAT!! :)
LOVE YOU!

Lazer Tag!
March 6, 2013, 2:29:37 PM MST

Hello all!!
Hello all!!
So this week we had a few surprises, so
we got a new companion and now I am in a trio!! For at least 2 weeks
depending on if I get transferred out this next transfer or not...Like
MacGyver said in his email, It's hard to leave an area that you are just
starting to see little seeds that you helped plant, grow. So many of
the investigators that we found at the beginning of my time here are now
in the process of preparing for baptism. It is amazing. But mostly it
is amazing that people can change, no matter how bad their situation may
seem. There is a light that enters in peoples' eyes as they begin to
see life clearly for what it is, and also themselves for who they truly
are.
I will admit I have been really bad at keeping my
journal, and it's funny cause I read a scripture today, in the book of
mormon that basically was a one verse summary of an entire mission trip
by Ammon and his companions and it was still powerful. Soo... it made me
think about what is the point to writing things down. I do see
significance in it, and at the same time I have enjoyed the freedom of
being able to live in the moments. It was just a little thought I had.
ANYWAYS, How's life at home? Thank you again for the
cards and letters! I can't believe Chris is already in CANADA!! And,
Ryan.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY (on Feb 20th)... Knoe that even though I spaced
on it, I still love you and I'm so happy that you are a part of our
family! I also hope the plays are going good! I'd love to see the
pictures from once on this island if you get the time! But mostly I just
hope that you all are taking care of yourselves.
Also fun sidenote, we went to Lazer Tag today for an
activity! My code name was UNI-KRON (Robot Unicorn---Tribute to you
Marissa!) It was fun and it was a small room with a ton of missionaries.
This email is a little random, but just know that I love you! Time goes
by faster than I had anticipated, and that living in the snow is not as
bad as people say. hahha.
Loveyou all!!
Hermana Clement
Bueno!

Hola Todos!
Hola Todos!
First off, I hope you got to watch the
dvd that Francis (a member in our ward) made of the missionaries in the
city and various other random clips. There have been lots of amazing
opportunities here, and I've been really lucky to perform a lot. Coming
up in 3 weeks I get to sing "For Good" from Wicked with another sister
missionary (Sister Brown from AZ) and I get to dress up as Elfi. :)
Well....actually I'm not sure if we are not supposed to, but we both
reasoned that it would be better that way. She will wear pink for
Glinda. So, super fun stuff! The other clips in the dvd are from
baptisms and eating at an Italian Bistro and then Francis somehow
recorded parts of a lesson in Lourdes's home. We still don't know why he
did that..but he's constantly doing weird stuff like that. haha.
I love you all so much. Thank you for the letters
Jacob Emma Camylle and Claire! :) you are the best nieces and nephews
ever! And thank you for the letters of support! I can't tell you how
much they mean.
So, we had some crazy weather here. I heard it
snowed in Phoenix!!! What in the world?? Here we have had a lot of windy
rain so our jackets are beginning to smell like wet dogs...those poor
poeple that have to hug us. Also, I saw Gene Prince at the Visitor
Center and that was really fun! I was not expecting that at all. And
luckily it was such a slow morning that I got to talk with him for a
bit. Good to see you again Gene! But ya, things are going well. Lourdes
finally came to church and it was ward conference and you know how
sometimes those can because it is a long time of sitting in one place,
well she had an amazing time!! I honestly almost fell asleep but luckily
the cute lady sitting next to us brought out her big bag of candy. So
Lourdes and I had a fun time sneaking candy. BUt ya, she is really
excited about being baptism and she has had so many experiences that
sometimes she testifies to us more than we do to her. She was a miracle!
I'm loving these spiritual experiences high and low. It's amamzing how
detailed the lord is in our lives and how many blessing there really are
even in hard times. My comp is super fun! Kinda bossy at times but at
least she's quick to laugh at funny situations. Love you all! Take care
and know that the Lord is always there to help you even when you don't
think you need it. (watch this video on lds.org: Mountains to Climb)
Lovc you!!
Hermana Clement
PS
Cam, hey if you find some hymns that are are more modern sounding that
would be really cool. Because we only listen to hymns and primary songs
in the car, so if you find any could you send a cd? THnaks!
